Biography
Paul William Zavagno grew up in Bay Area of California. After receiving his Bachelor’s Degree in American Studies from the University of California at Santa Cruz, he earned his teaching credentials at National College in Evanston, Illinois, and later a Master’s Degree in Public Policy Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago. He retired after over thirty years as a teacher and principal.
He has had a fondness for transformational approaches that began with his spiritual formation as a Christian Scientist, and morphed into a love of the counter-culture and music scene in the 60’s. In education, his interest was in constuctivism, strategic planning, and transformational leadership. His growth has been radically impacted by the work of John Main, Richard Rohr, Eckhardt Tolle, Jon Kabat-Zinn, David Hawkins, Adyashanti, A Course in Miracles, and Byron Katie. He attended programs at Landmark Education, The Grail, and The School for the Work.
His journey has given him experience in supporting people and groups dealing with change, marriage, relationships, parenting, education, leadership, teaming, as well as struggles with addiction, fitness, and retirement.
Paul has organized strategic planning for various organizations, taught meditation classes to groups and individuals, and is a Certified Facilitator of The Work of Byron Katie. He is interested in bringing The Work to people around the world. He is available for classes, presentations, retreats, consultations and private sessions.
